What is a Connection Circle?

A Connection Circle is a small, facilitated group designed to support thoughtful conversation, listening, and reflection.

Connection Circle | reConnect Care

Each circle offers a structured space for thoughtful conversation. Participants are invited to speak honestly, listen deeply, and consider what’s emerging for them, without pressure to solve problems or reach conclusions.

Connection Circles are:

  • Small (typically 4–8 people)
  • Guided and intentionally structured
  • Grounded in respect, confidentiality, and care

This work is not therapy and not a substitute for mental health treatment. If you feel you need therapy instead, go here. →
Instead, it’s a space for meaningful connection, clarity, and reflection—especially during times of transition or change.

How Connection Circles Work

Connection Circles are small, facilitated groups (usually around 4–8 people) that meet online for a set number of sessions (typically 4 weeks). Each circle follows a simple, steady structure: time to arrive, time to speak and listen, and time to reflect together. There is no pressure to perform, fix, or advise—just a thoughtful container that supports connection, clarity, and shared humanity.

A typical session would include an opener, a prompt for sparking discussion, open engagement, and a closing

Screening

Before I confirm spots, I ask everyone two questions to be sure it’s a good fit:
1) What drew you to this Connection Circle right now?
2) What are you hoping to get from this group?

Connection Circle – Group Guidelines

  • We speak from our own experience and listen without interrupting.
  • We don’t give advice unless invited.
  • Differences in background, identity, gender, and perspective are respected at all times.
  • Racist, sexist, or demeaning language is not acceptable.
  • What’s shared in the group stays in the group.
  • Politics and political views are not discussed in this group.
  • All religious and spiritual perspectives welcome. Promoting or proselytizing a belief system is not.

It is important to keep the space safe for everyone. I reserve the right to excuse/un-invite a participant if they are unable to follow the guidelines.

NOTE: the first meeting of a Connection Circle is free; sessions 2-4 are $10 each, payable by Stripe (all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App Pay, Klarna, and more) at the beginning of the session

Ongoing Interest

Circles can continue beyond the allotted number of sessions if there is enough interest and commitment. Adding potential new members to an ongoing Circle will be discussed and decided with input from the current members.

Who Connection Circles Are For

Connection Circles are for adults who value meaningful conversation and want to feel less alone in the questions, transitions, or quiet moments of later life. The current Connection Circles are for adults age 60+. Other age groups/transitions to be added later if there is interest.

Participants tend to be reflective, curious, and respectful of others’ experiences. You don’t need to be “going through something major”—just open to connection.

A Connection Circle vs. Therapy

A Connection Circle is not a therapy group or group counseling. It does not involve diagnosis, treatment plans, or clinical goals. Instead, it’s a facilitated peer space focused on listening, shared experience, and gentle reflection. While the group is professionally held, it’s meant to be a guided conversation and not a therapeutic intervention.

Upcoming Circles

Connection Circles form periodically based on interest and availability. Upcoming circles are announced here and shared through email and social posts. Because groups are intentionally small, spaces are limited. If a circle is full, you’re welcome to join the waitlist for the next one.
